Tucker Carson Reviews & Airs Unseen Footage

The Tucker Carlson producers were given access to over 40,000 hours of surveillance tape from January 6th that has never previously been made public. Speaker McCarthy should be applauded for shedding light on these videos. As Carlson notes, “The January 6th Committee had access to this footage, and they watched much of it…committee members lied about what they saw and then hid the evidence from the public as well as from January 6th defendants and their lawyers. That is unforgivable.” He specifically goes on to say that “Democrats in Congress, assisted by Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, lied about what happened that day. They are liars. Patrick McCaughey
Actions & Arrest

Many have heard about some of the January 6th (J6) prisoners, but not many know any of them. Some of these political prisoners are being held in U.S. Federal Penitentiary Lewisburg. One such inmate is Patrick McCaughey, 25, whose home is in Connecticut. We had the opportunity to speak with his father, Pat, this morning.

Mr. McCaughey described his son as an honor student who can speak and write fluently in Latin. Prior to J6, Patrick was a project manager with the family construction business. On that day the father and son went to Washington, D.C., to peacefully express their concerns about the validity of the 2020 election. They witnessed the police firing randomly into the crowd of people outside the Capitol. They witnessed the tear gas lobbed into the crowd. They also witnessed barricades erected and police pushing people toward the Capitol building with no way to back out. According to Mr. McCaughey, Patrick McCaughey was pushed from behind by the crowds and into the Capitol Police at the building entrance. Patrick had no way to turn around. He was beaten with billy clubs and did all he could to defend himself. He was finally able to get out of the crowd and found his way back to his father.

About a week later, Mr. McCaughey indicated that the FBI kicked down the front door of their home while the family ate dinner. Automatic weapons with laser targeting were point at the heads of each family member. Mr. McCaughey said to one of the agents, “You need a warrant to come in here.” The agent simply pushed his gun close to Pat’s mouth and said, “No we don’t. Now, we are going to take your son and if you move, you are dead.”

Patrick was put in insolation for 23 hours per day. At a bail hearing, the federal judge demanded non-secured real estate valued at $1 million be put up for bond. Luckily, there was no mortgage on the McCaughey home, and Pat was able to post the bail to allow his son to be free from prison from 5/5/21 to 9/14/22.

On 9/13/22, Patrick was found guilty of several felonies related to J6 and was remanded to Lewisburg Penitentiary, where he remains today. His sentencing will occur next month on April 14th. The U.S. government still holds a claim on the McCaughey home.

Justice?

One can debate whether or not a 23-year-old and his father should have been at the Capitol building on J6. However, when exculpatory evidence is withheld from defendants, when basic civil rights are not followed by federal law enforcement officers, and when Americans concerned about their Republic are treated worse than rioters who burned and looted cities for months, then we must ask: how is this just?
