It is a comprehensive global plan built around 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals address a wide range of United Nations global priorities, including ending poverty and hunger, improving health and education, achieving gender equality, ensuring clean water and affordable energy, fostering economic growth and innovation, reducing inequality, promoting sustainable cities, combating climate change, and protecting ecosystems on land and at sea. This research brief reviews recent millage rate increases for calendar year (CY) 2025 county property taxes. It also considers millage rate changes over the prior decade as counties often hold rates flat for extended periods of time but then enact material rate increases in a single year.
