Power to the People – Really?

Remember the last national emergency that occurred before a presidential election? The House Administration Subcommittee is now planning for the next national crisis.

In the event that 100 members of the House of Representatives resign or die, the plan is to allow state governors to appoint Representatives to Congress without bothering to have the people actually elect them. We won’t examine at this time why such massive resignations or casualties might occur.

Currently, the law states that special elections are called if a member of Congress resigns, and voters decide on a replacement to represent their interests in Washington. There is talk of trying to get a Constitutional Amendment passed (to make this actually legit). See more here.

Anyone voting for such an Amendment would be voting for an oligarchy and  signing onto the death of our Constitutional Republic!

Bottom line…

Americans must see the forest through the trees, understanding that these incremental changes being enacted by our government for expediency and for our safety will sooner rather than later mean the end of our freedom.
