PA’S FAIR SHARE TAX PLAN

House Bill 1773

Are you paying your “fair share” of taxes to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? Some in Harrisburg think many are not. As a result, you might be looking at a 400% increase in your PA tax!

Our friends at Broad + Liberty provide a great recap of House Bill 1773 and who could be impacted here.

Representative Christopher M. Rabb, Author of H.B. 1773
and Chair of the Finance Subcommittee on Tax Modernization and Reform

House Bill 1773, the Fair Share Tax Plan, is currently being discussed in the Finance Subcommittee on Tax Modernization and Reform, which held a hearing on the matter last week. Chairman and author of the bill, Rep. Christopher M. Rabb believes those with “excessive wealth” don’t pay their fair share of tax. His quote below can be found at 1:04:35 in the linked video of the hearing.

Bottom line…

For a state which sees more businesses relocating to more tax friendly and economically favorable states, than it sees coming into the state, we would think the legislators would be concerned about creating a climate that would encourage new businesses to succeed. Instead, leaders seem to believe they are the arbiters of fairness in taxation. They seem to forget that they work for the people of this Commonwealth!
