Censorship – 8-30-22
In the news…
Stories seem to always be in the news about the FBI and the agency’s methods in carrying out investigations. We watched as agents entered the home of Roger Stone, and by happenstance CNN cameras were there to catch the activities. We’ve heard about search warrants obtained to retrieve information to which agents already had access at Mar-a-Lago. Two men being paid by the FBI were charged for conspiracy in the attempted kidnapping of the Michigan governor. Now we hear from Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, that the FBI contacted him weeks before the 2020 election to warn about stories that could be Russian disinformation.
What is going on with the highest federal law enforcement agency in the nation? It is clear that the FBI in at least two of the instances noted above, used the media/social media to drive public thought. In the case of suppressing the Biden laptop story, the FBI used social media as a conduit to censor speech.
If you look at the Censorship page of our website, you will see that it isn’t just the FBI trying to limit the 1st Amendment rights of citizens. The Center for Disease Control urged social media platforms to suppress any comments questioning the efficacy and safety of COVID-19 vaccine. In time, all truth will be revealed. Shedding light on the issues will help to make that day come sooner.
As G. K. Chesterton wrote, “It isn’t that they can’t see the solution. It is that they can’t see the problem.”
We are trying to make sure that they see and understand the problems. Join us in that mission!
